The academic curriculum of GDGS is thoughtfully crafted to foster a respect for hard work and promote academic growth, while developing strong formal study skills. Students are well-prepared for the rigorous academic requirements of high school, encouraged to engage in both individual and group work, and are guided towards becoming independent learners. Public speaking and independent research are emphasized, as these activities help students gain confidence and expand their knowledge. Additionally, we prioritize discipline and punctuality within our educational framework.

Throughout the critical years of ages 10-14, we focus on nurturing the holistic development of the child – academically, socially, physically, and emotionally. This is a transformative period marked by puberty, pre-adolescence, changes in brain chemistry, and significant physical growth.

Integral to our high school curriculum are long-term projects and research, where study skills, information literacy, technology, and both critical and creative thinking are woven throughout instruction. Our students are not only exposed to core academic subjects like language arts, math, science, social science, and foreign languages, but also to enriching areas such as music, art, theater, technology, and physical education. Our Learning Specialist collaborates closely with faculty and students to integrate enrichment and reinforcement activities, ensuring that various learning styles are accommodated while keeping track of student progress. Teachers guide students in setting achievable goals and monitor their progress toward these goals.

Middle School serves as an essential period for pushing boundaries and maximizing student potential.
